UK weekend yoga retreat - Tofte Manor, Bedfordshire, UK

2024 will be my first year leading yoga weekend retreats at Tofte Manor, near Bedford, which hosts my first UK yoga retreat weekends for 5 years.

I visited Tofte Manor in early 2023 and was immediately impressed by the beautiful house and gardens and all this wonderful retreat has to offer. 

Tofte Manor has a history dating back to the Knights Templar, and is now one of the UK’s most luxurious private yoga retreat destinations. 

The entire property and all the bedrooms are very tastefully furnished and decorated by the owner Suzy. This is her family home. 

The extensive gardens include two labyrinths, an outdoor pool and tennis court, a ceremonial fire-pit, a huge yurt for practice, and a fresh-water spring with an extraordinarily high quality of water. 

The price includes all meals Friday dinner to Sunday lunch, all yoga classes, use of house and gardens, bath towels and robes in your rooms, herbal and black tea and coffee are available throughout. I am limiting numbers to 16 for these retreat weekends. First come first served for spaces and rooming requests. 

Price does not include travel, treatments or additional purchases.

Please feel free to bring your own wine, beer or soft drinks. Tofte Manor do not sell alcohol or soft drinks, and do not allow red wine indoors. 

Moderate alcohol consumption in evenings is accepted over this weekend retreat.

I am unable to provide any yoga props, although Tofte Manor have yoga mats and meditation cushions (only). 

Please bring a bolster, 4-5 foam blocks, 2 wooden or heavy cork blocks, 2 blankets and two small towels or scarves as neck rolls. 

Please bring walking shoes, pool towels (in season), water bottles and yoga props……and leave everything else behind.

An information letter for this weekend with arrival and other instructions will be sent to you closer to the time.

Please note that the very beautifully presented Manor House rooms only share an equally well presented bathroom between 2 rooms only, so they are not busy bathrooms. 

Personal bathroom periods in the morning can be reserved for each individual to ensure you have a preferred time reserved for yourself without needing to check whether the shared bathroom is free for your shower etc. Most Manor House bedrooms also have a wash-hand basins inside the room.
